Massage Chair Comparison: Osaki OS Pro Admiral vs Cozzia Zen

Compare Premier Models from Top Brand Names Osaki and Cozzia
Osaki OS Pro Admiral vs. Cozzia Zen CZ-640
New massage chair designs have continued to be released in 2019, including two of the newest technologies currently in the marketplace, the Osaki OS Pro Admiral and the Cozzia Zen.  These chairs combine sleek new designs, industry standard digital controls, motorized leg adjustments, among many other features and technologies not found in older chair designs.

The Osaki OS Pro Admiral and Cozzia Zen (2 Trims: CZ-641 and CZ-640) are two of the newest designs released, and provide an exceptional massage and ultra luxury features at a much lower price than most luxury chairs.
Comparing the Osaki OS Pro Admiral and the Cozzia Zen
-----
While these chairs are competitive by price and features, each option has very different approaches in creating their design.  As we go through this comparison, we will break down the consistencies between each product along with where each chair differs. While at the end of this article we provide our recommendation, it is important to emphasize these are both exceptional chairs that present an amazing value for those looking to buy a luxury chair at a reasonable price point.

Osaki OS Pro Admiral vs. Cozzia Zen: Roller Design
-----
The Osaki OS Pro Admiral uses a 3D Quad roller S+L track in the rolling mechanism of the chair.  3D technology means the track can move up and down, left and right, as well as in and out.  The Admiral provides 6 levels of adjustability in the intensity of the massage.  More depth controls increase the chairs therapeutic effects and greatly increases the impact the chair can have on your health and life.  The Zen in both the 640 and 641 model utilizes 2D Quad roller S+L track to simulate some of the intensity controls of a 3D chair, but the Zen's biggest weakness is its lack of a 3D design.
-----
Where the Cozzia Zen in the 640 and 641 model exceeds in this category is the advanced algorithms in the controls. Cozzia has trademarked a term called Vario Human Motion, which automatically adjusts the speed and intensity of the massage for the user throughout all of its automated programs.  While the Admiral can provide a definitively deeper massage and has advanced its auto controls in this new design, the Zen wins out in the complexity and human like feel of the massage rollers.  As an industry expert I personally prefer having the 3D technology in the chair, so the edge goes to the Osaki OS Pro Admiral in this category.

Osaki OS Pro Admiral vs. Cozzia Zen: Technology and Advanced Algorithms
-----
The Admiral and the Zen both offer state of the art Quad roller S+L track design that truly kneads into the muscles.  Each chair offers 6 separate massage styles, with natural integrations between each massage technique during the auto programs.  In addition, both chairs offer full manual massage modes to customize your massage when you want to address specific pain points you might be dealing with.
-----
The Zen in both the 640 and 641 combine a unique shoulder adjustment option to allow for those with broader shoulders to stay comfortable, while catering to those with a smaller frame as well.  The Admiral also provides a wide body frame and is suitable for those with broader shoulders.  The Admiral does not adjust in the shoulder as it is designed to naturally fit with multiple body types.
-----
When stepping up from the 640 to the 641 the Zen adds motorized leg adjustment and heated calf therapy.  These features allow for improved stretch programs for joint care and general pliability.  The 641 dramatically improves the efficacy of the calf and knee therapy through the added dimension of heat.  Lastly, the 641 also adds an adjustable track for the calf therapy to broaden the zones for air compression in your legs.
-----
The Zen has a unique custom auto program option that allows you to target specific area or pain points you want to address and creates an instant auto program to reduce the annoyance of adjusting spot massage controls. One feature we really like with the Admiral is the local zoned auto programs that allow you to focus on your upper or lower back. Both customization options are nice, but the Admirals localized programs is a little more user friendly. Overall, the Admiral, released in the second half of 2019, is an exceptional chair with broad array of technology features that makes it the winner in this category.
Osaki OS Pro Admiral vs. Cozzia Zen: Controller Design
-----
The Admiral and the Zen both utlize touch screen digital displays with full controls of the massage, chair position, and includes an advanced features menu bar.  A wide variety of customizable features are available in each chair.  While both models have touch screen controls, the tablet display in both the Zen 640 and 641 is highly intuitive and easy to use. You can target specific areas of pain and the chair will automatically design a program for you.  The Zen and the Admiral have 8 and 16 auto programs respectively.  The addition of a USB port is a nice touch on the Admiral and the Zen, and allows for charging your phone while you operate the chair.  The Zen wins out in this category due to the addition of the tablet display in the controls.
Osaki OS Pro Admiral vs. Cozzia Zen: Air Compression Massage
-----
The Admiral and the Zen combine 24 and 42 air bags respectively, providing massage for the feet, calf, hip, shoulder, and hands.  All chairs models and trims offer adjustable air compression controls to change the pressure of the massage.
-----
Calf Air Compression Massage
The all new Admiral adds heated calf massage, although the coverage on the massage is smaller than other models with this feature.  The Zen in the 641 trim takes this a step further and allows you to adjust the position of the calf massage from your knees all the way to the bottom of your calf. This adjustability provides many additional benefits at customizing the position of the massage. Lastly, a key selling point of the Zen in the 641 trim adds the heated calf massage with expanded zones for maximum impact. This is exclusive to the Zen (641 model only) and is a great feature for those that deal with joint related knee pain.
-----
Hip/Shoulder Air Compression Massage
As with the intensity of the massage rollers the Admiral has a greater degree of control in the intensity of the air compression massage. This is especially felt in the hips and shoulders.
-----
Hand Air Compression Massage
The Admiral uses acupressure points on the hand air compression to promote circulation and additional stimulation during the massage. The Zen has a soft feel in the hand air compression zones, and the difference between each chair on this point comes down to personal preference.  One downside with the Zen is the relatively small zones for the hand massage compared to the Admiral.
Osaki OS Pro Admiral vs. Cozzia Zen: Foot Massage
-----
Both the Admiral and the Cozzia Zen use reflexology foot rollers to promote improved circulation and decreased pain. The Admiral and Zen use a more basic foot roller than the luxury models you can find out there, but is a small sacrifice for the technology features you get in this price range. The Admiral and Zen is open to the feet and provides a different feel than some of our full immersion foot massage options.
Osaki OS Pro Admiral vs. Cozzia Zen: Pricing and Value
-----
------
The Admiral and the Zen runs a minimum advertised price (MAP) and you will not find it for under it's MAP pricing online. At Sleep Galleria we guarantee the lowest price before purchase and 90 days after purchase as well to provide you peace of mind with your new massage chair.
Final Pick: Osaki OS Pro Admiral
-----
I personally feel that both chairs provide a compelling value. If you are looking for the highest intensity massage you will find the Admiral delivers, and has many features that the average massage chair owner would envy. If you are looking for the ultimate in relaxation with intuitive controls and adjustable features in the massage and fit of the chair the Zen is a hit. That said, if you are looking for a more complete massage, greater intensity controls in the auto programs, and a compelling price point the Admiral provides a combination of features that is tough to beat.
Regardless of which chair you select have confidence with these two chairs you cannot go wrong. Dream Easy!
