<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Warranty is non-transferable and takes effect as of January 1, 2018.The comfort<br data-mce-fragment="1">and quality of Palliser’s products are supported with a comprehensive warranty.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">On the five (5) year pro-rated warranty, Palliser will cover:</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">• Year one (1) – 100% of the cost of both parts including fabric and labour<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Year two (2) – 80% of the cost of parts* only<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Year three (3) – 60% of the cost of parts* only<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Year four (4) – 40% of the cost of parts* only<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Year five (5) – 20% of the cost of parts* only</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">From year two (2) to year five (5), the original consumer or retailer (as applicable) will be<br data-mce-fragment="1">responsible to pay the balance of the cost of parts* and any associated labour charges.<br data-mce-fragment="1">*Parts include leather, foam, and frame, but excludes fabric and labour.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">This warranty does not cover the following:</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">• Rental, business, commercial, institutional or other non-residential uses;<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Products purchased second-hand, as-is, or as final sale;<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Products purchased from distressed or liquidation sales;<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Products deemed misused, mishandled, altered, abused;<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Any external warranty plan or product which may be sold by retailer as extra<br data-mce-fragment="1">protection warranty;<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Any condition resulting from unusual usage;<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">PARTS WARRANTY – COVERAGE AND LIMITATION</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Cover Material</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">The Palliser warranty does not cover any damages to our products due to improper<br data-mce-fragment="1">use, excessive soiling, dye transfer from clothing to the cover, pet damage, improper<br data-mce-fragment="1">or unapproved cleaning methods (see Product Care for details), chemical<br data-mce-fragment="1">treatments, exposure to direct sunlight or colour fading. Any of these occurrences<br data-mce-fragment="1">will void the warranty.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Leather – Five (5) year pro-rated warranty</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">The Palliser warranty covers all leathers against tearing, splitting and cracking. Leather is<br data-mce-fragment="1">a natural material and, as such, each hide reflects its own characteristics. On average,<br data-mce-fragment="1">four to five hides are used on most Palliser sofas.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Variations in shade, grain, texture, patterns of original hair follicles, healed scars, brands,<br data-mce-fragment="1">neck growth marks, nicks, scratches, wrinkles and relaxing are natural characteristics of<br data-mce-fragment="1">leather and are not considered defects.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Bonded Leather, Vinyl, Leather Match, Polyurethane – One (1) year warranty</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">The Palliser warranty covers all bonded, vinyl, leather match and polyurethane materials<br data-mce-fragment="1">against splitting, cracking, and peeling.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Bonded leather is a term used for an upholstery material made as a layered structure<br data-mce-fragment="1">with a center core fabric (usually polyester) for strength, a backing layer of shredded<br data-mce-fragment="1">leather fibres and a polyurethane coating on the top that is embossed with a leather-like<br data-mce-fragment="1">texture. It is NOT genuine leather. It does not have the same properties as leather and<br data-mce-fragment="1">should not be represented as such.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Leather Match is a term used to describe an upholstered product where a portion of the<br data-mce-fragment="1">product is real leather but the back, sides or less visible parts are an artificial material,<br data-mce-fragment="1">usually vinyl, matched to look like leather.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Fabric – One (1) year warranty</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">The Palliser warranty covers all fabric materials against seam slippage fraying and<br data-mce-fragment="1">splitting. The Palliser warranty does not cover tearing, relaxing, pilling, shrinking<br data-mce-fragment="1">or fibre migration. Flattening of nap on velvet or high pile chenille and microfibre<br data-mce-fragment="1">are inherent characteristics of a soft, plush fabric and are in no way considered<br data-mce-fragment="1">manufacturer’s defects.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Frames, Springs or Webbing – Ten (10) year warranty</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Wood frames, springs, coils or webbing carry a ten (10) year warranty against breakage.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Springs, coils or webbing are covered for breakage due to metal fatigue or pulling loose<br data-mce-fragment="1">from wood frames. Metal frames are warranted against breakage for a period of two (2)<br data-mce-fragment="1">years under normal household use.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Motion Reclining Mechanisms – Seven (7) year warranty</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Reclining mechanisms are warranted against material and manufacturing defects.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Warranty is limited to suppliers’ availability of parts.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Lift and reclining mechanisms are designed to support a weight of up to 300 lbs. in a<br data-mce-fragment="1">residential use application.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Palliser Sofa beds - Two (2) year warranty</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Sofa bed mechanisms and sofa bed mattresses are warranted against material and<br data-mce-fragment="1">manufacturing defects. Sofa beds are not designed for everyday use. As such, our<br data-mce-fragment="1">warranty will be voided under those circumstances.</p>

<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Ten (10) year non-prorated, warranty provided by Serta® following their guidelines and<br data-mce-fragment="1">specifications. Mattresses are warranted against material and manufacturing defects.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Sofa beds are not designed for everyday use. As such, our warranty will be voided under<br data-mce-fragment="1">those circumstances</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Seat Cushion Foam and Fibre-filled Components – Five (5) year<br data-mce-fragment="1">pro-rated warranty.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Seat cushions are warranted against collapsing. All cushions will soften with use and<br data-mce-fragment="1">will conform to the shape of the user. This softening is considered normal wear and is<br data-mce-fragment="1">in no way considered a manufacturer’s defect. For more consistent relaxing of your seat<br data-mce-fragment="1">cushions, change your seating position regularly and use each seat cushion in rotation<br data-mce-fragment="1">equally. Fibre-filled and fibre-wrapped seat cushion tops, backs and arms will lose loft<br data-mce-fragment="1">or fullness with prolonged use. Regular fluffing will help prevent internal fibres from<br data-mce-fragment="1">matting and help to prolong the vibrancy of these products.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Power Recliner Motors – Three (3) year warranty</p>

<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">LABOUR WARRANTY – COVERAGE AND LIMITATIONS</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Palliser offers a one (1) year warranty for labour and workmanship applying to all<br data-mce-fragment="1">upholstered furniture manufactured by Palliser. Palliser products are warranted to the<br data-mce-fragment="1">original retail consumer to be free from manufacturing and parts defects. The warranty<br data-mce-fragment="1">takes effect from the date of delivery to the original retail consumer.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Within one (1) year from the date of delivery, Palliser will pay, at no charge to the original<br data-mce-fragment="1">retail consumer, customary labour rates to repair or replace the defective parts. Under<br data-mce-fragment="1">this warranty, the sole liability of Palliser is limited to repair, or at its sole option, parts<br data-mce-fragment="1">replacement. Shipping charges for replacement parts will be assessed after the first year<br data-mce-fragment="1">of warranty. Should service be required under the first year of warranty then the initial<br data-mce-fragment="1">service inspection will be covered by Palliser. Palliser will not be responsible for any<br data-mce-fragment="1">transportation costs with the exception of extenuating circumstances and as approved<br data-mce-fragment="1">in advance by Palliser. For clarity, should inspection deem that no repair is necessary then<br data-mce-fragment="1">initial service fee will be payable by end consumer to the third party.<br data-mce-fragment="1">After one (1) year, the original retail consumer will be responsible for all costs related to<br data-mce-fragment="1">labour. See Parts Warranty above for details.<br data-mce-fragment="1">The term “defect” as it is used in this warranty is defined as a flaw or deficiency that<br data-mce-fragment="1">affects the intended use for which the product was manufactured.<br data-mce-fragment="1">The Palliser warranty provides coverage to the original retail consumer only where the<br data-mce-fragment="1">purchase has been made from an authorized retailer of Palliser and therefore is nontransferable<br data-mce-fragment="1">to any second or third party.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Palliser does not endorse and is not responsible for coverage of any extended warranty<br data-mce-fragment="1">plan consumer may purchase through their retailer.<br data-mce-fragment="1">The special Palliser identity labels found underneath your product are your guarantee of<br data-mce-fragment="1">the quality and authenticity of your Palliser product. Removal or attempted removal of<br data-mce-fragment="1">such tags will void this warranty.<br data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">PRODUCT CARE</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Any application of a third party product invalidates Palliser’s Warranty.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Leather Care</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Clean leather often as frequent and gentle cleaning is easier on leather than less frequent,<br data-mce-fragment="1">more aggressive cleaning. Cleaning will remove built-up dirt, skin oils and perspiration.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Protected (Pigmented) and Semi-Aniline Leathers<br data-mce-fragment="1">Clean with a mild soap and water solution. Use a mild soap with a neutral pH. Rinse with<br data-mce-fragment="1">a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Do not use a soap product that is harsh<br data-mce-fragment="1">on your skin, as it will be harsh on the leather.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Always test the soap solution in an unseen upholstered area ensure that the solution<br data-mce-fragment="1">does not damage the leather. Ensure there is no colour transfer onto your cloth. Wipe<br data-mce-fragment="1">with a dry cloth.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Natural (Aniline) Leathers</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Clean with only a slightly damp cloth. Do not use any type of soap on natural (aniline)<br data-mce-fragment="1">leather. Wipe with a dry cloth.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Bonded Leathers, Leather Match</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Clean with a mild soap and water solution. Use a mild soap with a neutral pH. Soiled areas should be cleaned based on the following<br data-mce-fragment="1">cleaning code(s) found on your Palliser product. If cleaning codes are not available,<br data-mce-fragment="1">contact the Palliser retailer from where you purchased the product.<br data-mce-fragment="1">S Vacuum frequently or brush lightly. Spot clean only using mild water-free<br data-mce-fragment="1">solvent or dry cleaning product. Pre-test small area before proceeding.<br data-mce-fragment="1">W Use water-based cleaning agents.<br data-mce-fragment="1">WS Use water-based cleaning agents or mild water-free solvents.<br data-mce-fragment="1">X Vacuum or brush lightly and do not use foam or liquid cleaning agents<br data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">GENERAL</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">• Modifications to Palliser product outside of Palliser factory specifications voids<br data-mce-fragment="1">warranty. Consumer does so at their own risk.<br data-mce-fragment="1">• There is no promise to repay or replace Palliser product – only to repair as per our<br data-mce-fragment="1">warranty, at Palliser’s sole discretion.<br data-mce-fragment="1">• Warranty does not apply to Palliser products that have been subjected to abuse,<br data-mce-fragment="1">accident, modifications, improper handling or installation or repairs made by anyone<br data-mce-fragment="1">other than an authorized Palliser representative.<br data-mce-fragment="1">Warranty may not apply to Palliser products where use of product has not<br data-mce-fragment="1">been evenly distributed.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">CAUTIONS</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">General</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not move furniture in your home without carefully wrapping the furniture, including<br data-mce-fragment="1">corners and feet or the bottom of the furniture, with a protective covering. This will help<br data-mce-fragment="1">avoid damage to floors and/or wall surfaces, as well as help to prevent damage to the<br data-mce-fragment="1">furniture itself. Using the arms to lift and move the piece, or sitting and standing on<br data-mce-fragment="1">them can cause irreversible damage to the product.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not move furniture on bare hardwood floors. At all times, place the furniture on a<br data-mce-fragment="1">protective area rug or protective hardwood felt pads. This will protect your hardwood<br data-mce-fragment="1">floors from potential scratches.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not expose leather or fabric to ink, bleach, oily substances, fluids, body oils, strong<br data-mce-fragment="1">detergents including laundry detergent, chemicals and sharp objects as these may cause<br data-mce-fragment="1">potential damage.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not expose leather or fabric to sun or extreme light sources as this will cause fading<br data-mce-fragment="1">and potential damage. Do not remove your seat cushion covers where applicable for dry<br data-mce-fragment="1">cleaning or separate washing.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Safety</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Use extreme caution when operating the moving mechanisms and electronic<br data-mce-fragment="1">components. Before operating, make sure limbs and other obstructions are clear of leg<br data-mce-fragment="1">rests and other moving parts.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not leave reclining seats in the reclining position when not in use.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not allow children to play on mechanized furniture or to operate mechanisms</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not stand on chairs and do not sit on ottomans.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not lean forward or exit the reclining piece if the chair is not in the upright and<br data-mce-fragment="1">closed position.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not sit, stand or place heavy objects on product arms.</p>
<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">Do not exceed 300 lbs. on motion or lift mechanisms.</p>

<p data-mce-fragment="1"><br data-mce-fragment="1">To make a warranty claim or to inquire about concerns with your Palliser product, please<br data-mce-fragment="1">contact the authorized Palliser retailer from where the original purchase was made.<br data-mce-fragment="1">When making a claim under this warranty, proof of purchase with the original bill of<br data-mce-fragment="1">sale and the product serial number are required. Should these not be available, Palliser<br data-mce-fragment="1">reserves the right to deny a claim. Palliser reserves the right to request photo verification<br data-mce-fragment="1">and/or the return of defective parts to its factory for evaluation.</p>
