The all new Tempurpedic Pro-Adapt Soft is the perfect mattress for side sleepers. It contours to the shape of your hips and shoulders while providing push back and support. This mattress combines some of Tempurpedic's newest innovations including their cool to the touch cover, dual cover Smart Climate system, and the all new Advanced Pressure Relieving (APR) foams. These innovations really have enhanced what you might remember from the traditional Tempurpedic's you may have tried in the past.

Comfort
During testing, we found that side sleepers had the best response to the softer and more contouring feel of the ProAdapt Soft. While this model is designated a soft, its important to remember that all Tempurpedic mattresses sleep relatively firm compared to a traditional style pillowtop mattress. This mattress is ideal for side sleepers as it spreads out the pressure generally felt in the hip and shoulder complex. This reduction in pressure is ideal to reduce the amount you toss and turn throughout the night. The hammock effect felt with most soft mattresses is not a problem with Tempurpedic, as you can literally feel the push back and support from the Tempur material. Beyond the comfort of the bed this model still provides sufficient support for a back or stomach sleeping position.

Technology Features
Tempurpedic engineers spent years developing this new line. These innovations include the cool to the touch cover made from ultra high molecular weight yarn, the dual cover SmartClimate system, and the new APR foams redesigned for the Pro Adapt line. In addition to the zip off washable cover the dual cover system combines that with a stretch knit fabric cover over the layers of Tempur material. This fabric can be pulled and stretched in a variety of directions without losing its elasticity. This fabric prevent foams from moving or creating an uneven sleep surface that could impact your quality of sleep. In addition, the new APR foams offer a more complex feel than the older original Tempur material used in previous lines. These foams offer a faster reacting sleep surface, more push back and support, and make it easier to turn over while sleeping on the mattress - a common complaint with memory foam beds. Therapeutic Benefits
Tossing and turning is a common complaint that leads many consumers to seek a softer sleep surface. With Tempurpedic, it is one of the few mattresses we have tested where the soft model still provides proper support. It's very common with a softer mattress to get a hammock effect in the bed that makes it uncomfortable. During testing, we found that side sleepers enjoyed this model above and beyond the medium or firm in the ProAdapt series. Those testing the bed reported reduction in tossing and turning, improved sleep cycles between waking up, and improved energy levels during the day. While the cool to the touch cover only lasts about 15 minutes that was more than enough time to fall asleep. If you are looking for a mattress that provides better cooling effects all night long we recommend the Breeze models within the ProAdapt and LuxeAdapt line.

Support
The Tempur APR foams provide noticeably more support than the Original Tempur material used inside the Adapt line. While the Adapt medium offers conforming comfort layers, there is a noticeable difference in the complexity of APR foams as well as the push back and support you feel while laying on the bed. The soft model of the Tempurpedic ProAdapt series is not ideal for back or stomach sleepers. If you spend the majority of the night in these positions we recommend the medium or the soft.

The Tempurpedic is legendary for the consistency of the feel of their mattresses. While it will take time to know if the newly designed APR foams will stand the test of the time, Tempurpedic has stuck with the same warranty they have used for years. This warranty only requires a 3/4 of an inch dip or sag to make a warranty claim on the bed. The ProAdapt series starts at $2,999 for the queen mattress. This pricing is significantly higher than other brands claiming similar features and benefits. the reality remains that Tempurpedic stands apart whether you look at consumer study groups, medical professionals, or other industry leading companies such as JD Power & Associates. The backing of these groups off sets the price to a degree, but no matter your desire for better sleep it is always important to consider your budget. While Tempurpedic is certainly the best option out there, you will still have to ask yourself if the investment is worth it for you.
