Product Overview
The ProAdapt Medium provides significant conformance and pressure relief for side sleepers, but still provides plenty of push back and support for back or stomach sleepers. The ProAdapt Medium combines top grade technology features including the newly designed cool to the touch cover, zip off top, and stretch knit SmartClimate under knitting. Light weight and breathable materials are used throughout the mattress to provide a cool sleep surface. The ProAdapt Medium is a great compromise option for a couple sleeping in different sleep postures.

During testing, we found the ProAdapt Medium to be the best in the ProAdapt series for suiting all types of sleep postures. If you and your spouse have different sleep habits, or you are the tossing and turning type, this mattress is a great balanced feel suitable for any sleep position. Side sleepers get a healthy amount of pressure relief and during the test period we found the mattress to be effective at reducing tossing and turning.

Technology Features
The new ProAdapt Medium mattress offers innovations in the cooling cover. This cover uses an ultra high molecular weight yarn that helps disperse heat at a faster rate. The mattress also offered unique cleaning features such as a removable zip off cover which is machine washable. Beneath the cover is a light weight stretch knit fabric that helps prevent the foam layers from moving and adds to the conformance and pressure relief of the mattress. Lastly, this new line integrates Tempurpedic's Advanced Pressure Relieving (APR) foams, which provide a faster reacting and more durable sleep surface. We could definitely tell the difference between the legacy Tempur-ES foams and Original Tempur material used in the Adapt line as compared to the APR foams in the ProAdapt line. The APR foams fit form and shape to you quicker, provide more balanced support, and did a better job fitting into the small of the back and the contours of your shoulder and hip complex. Overall, the new ProAdapt line is packed with new features for this lineup.

Therapeutic Benefits
The ProAdapt Medium is adaptive to your sleep, and during our test period provided the most flexibility to varying sleep habits. We noticed this bed provided targeted support in pretty much any variation of sleep positions I could imagine. I also enjoyed the cool to the touch cover integrated into the bed. While the cooling effect didn't last more than 15 minutes or so, this was all I really needed to get to sleep. One of the main benefits of this bed is with its ability to keep tossing and turning to a minimum without having to limit the ways you choose to sleep.

Tempur material presses down and has a softness to it, but is always trying to go back to its original shape. This tension between conformance and pressure relief provide a balanced feel in the ProAdapt Medium that makes it flexible for all sleep types. We found this model provided a very supportive and contouring feel. It also provides a little more support into the contours of your back as compared to the soft model. Overall, the new ProAdapt Medium model provides an incredibly supportive high density foam layer that gives you a great balanced feel between firm and soft.

Durability
Despite the warranty only lasting 10 years, a Tempurpedic has a realistic comfort life of 15 - 20 years before it will need replaced. The consistency of the feel in this brand is one of its most well known differentiators. Tempurpedic use higher density foams that take longer to oxidize and do not lose their shape as quickly as cheaper memory foam beds. The ProAdapt is no exception and this collection should last in the same range as other legacy models have proven to last over the years.
