The Pro-Adapt Firm is a great mattress for those looking to sleep cooler, fall asleep faster and to wake up feeling refreshed in the morning. The SmartClimate dual cover system innovated for the new ProAdapt collection provides more conformance than the Adapt Medium, and the firm feel gives less into the bed. The newly designed APR (Advanced Pressure Relieving) foams designed for the ProAdapt line provide a distinct feel different than any other mattress on the market today. The firm feel of this model is great for those that love that extra support into the small of the back or into the contours of your side. Overall, this is one of the most popular mattresses in the Tempurpedic lineup, and a great bed for those looking for maximum support and pressure relief.

During testing, we found this model to be very comfortable for our testers that sleep on their back or stomach. We also found this mattress provided enough conformance for side sleepers, and could serve as a good compromise option for those that sleep in various positions. The dual cover system with the stretch knit top underneath the cover offers a greater degree of complexity in the feel. We loved the way this mattress followed after you quickly, limiting the stuck in the mud feel of many memory foam mattresses. The density of the foam provided a more on top of the bed feel as opposed to an in the mattress feel. This provided a greater sense of control over your sleep position, and we found the bed was one of the quickest models to put us to sleep. If you are a majority side sleeper or deal with shoulder or hip complex pressure the medium or soft model in this line might be a better solution.

Technology Features
In addition to the cooling cover and other technology features built into the Adapt line, the new Pro-Adapt model offers the redesigned APR foams, Smart Climate dual cover, and a removable zip off top. The Smart Climate system with the stretch knit under cover is one of the biggest innovations in the new Adapt line. Along with the conformance and pressure relief of the APR foams, the stretch knit under cover adds to the complexity of the feel and is key in taking that extra pressure off your shoulder and hips when you sleep on your side. The removable zip off top adds to the life of the mattress by providing additional care options. Overall, the Tempurpedic has changed the game with the addition of these new technologies.

Overall, the ProAdapt Firm is an ideal mattress for that love the idea of a pressure relieving Tempurpedic, but prefer the traditional firm feel of an old school coil mattress. We personally loved the way this mattress contours to your back. It is one of the best beds you can buy for a back sleeper, yet is suitable for any sleep position. This mattress was one of our top contenders for Editor's Pick and one of our favorite mattresses in the Tempurpedic lineup.
