Product Overview
The Osaki OS Pro Paragon was designed to be a luxury massage chair with ultra premium features comparable to other top models in the market today. While Osaki has designed a chair with exceptional components, there are essential features missing from the chair to make it a complete product. We loved the foot and calf massage along with the stretching programs designed into the chair. While the Paragon has a great massage program it lacks in key therapeutic effects its competitors deliver. This chair will deliver a serviceable massage comparable to a 3d model in the 4-5k price range. What it lacks in ultra premium features in the massage, it delivers in the foot/calf massage and its industry leading stretching programs. We consider this to be a specialty chair for customers looking for very specific solutions.

Massage Quality
If the Pargon has a weakness, it is in the limited controls around the depth and intensity of the massage. Most other 4d model massage chairs allow you to adjust the speed and intensity of the massage in the auto programs. While the Paragon allows you to adjust the massage intensity during a manual massage, you do not have this convenience in the auto programs. The idea in this setup is that each program already utilizes the 4d technology and manually adjusting the massage intensity is not needed. We do not like this feature and it definitely limited our overall enjoyment of the massage. In addition, while the rollers are strong and provide a full compliment of massage styles, it does not knead into the neck and shoulder like the Cozzia Qi SE or the Osaki Maestro 2.0. Both of these models exceed the Paragon in this category.

Technology Features
App based controls on your iOS or Android device offer easy access to massage programs and makes it significantly easier to customize your massage experience. Where the Paragon differentiates is with a suite of advanced foot massage features that is hard to find with any other massage chair on the market. These features include a rolling reflexology foot massage, toe air compression, back ankle grab, kneading calf massage and back calf rollers. The combination of all of these foot massage features offers an incomparable foot and calf massage. In addition, the unique base of the Paragon allows it to go into a near flat position while only requiring 3 inches of additional space from your wall. This enables the chair to go into a near lay flat position, dramatically enhancing the stretching programs. In addition, this chair includes standard features such as USB ports, heated feet, motorized leg extension, and heated rollers for the back.

Customization Features
The app based controls save this chair from a lower rating. We were not impressed with the controller and its function is very limited and not user friendly. That said, the app based controls offer a variety of features that are hard to find on the controller at the touch of a button. Once we accessed this app it opened up the options for the chair and enhanced the overall user experience. During testing, we enjoyed the voice activated controls but it is worth noting this features is fairly difficult to get setup and running when you first activate the chair.

Durability
The Osaki OS Pro Paragon does not use brushless motors, a key shortfall for a model of this quality level. Brushless motors are quickly becoming standard in ultra luxury chairs. These motors significantly increase the life of a massage chair, and also reduce the amount of ambient noise. That said, the Paragon is clearly a solid chair in both its design and function. During testing, we experienced no issues with the chair and customers have reported a low rate of defects with the model.

Value
The Paragon offers a great value considering all of the features built into the chair. This chair was designed as an ultra luxury model and includes features such as voice activated controls, HD bluetooth speakers, app based controller, and 4D technology in the massage mechanism. These features can easily range up to $10,000 without many substantive changes in the quality or design of the chair. While this chair fell a little short in the massage mechanism compared to its competition, there is no question feature for feature that the design and function of the chair is a great value. This chair retails on sale at $5,999.
